This article aims to examine the role of family education as the primary foundation for the formation of a child's personality. This study uses a qualitative method with a library study approach. Data sources were obtained from various relevant literature, including educational books, developmental psychology, Catholic Church documents, and the thoughts of educational figures, particularly Pope John Paul II's views on the family as the primary educational environment. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis by reviewing, categorizing, and interpreting key ideas related to family education and children's personality development. The results of the study indicate that the family plays a fundamental and strategic role as the primary educational institution in instilling basic values, especially the values of love, peace, and moral responsibility. Family education contributes significantly to the holistic development of a child's personality, encompassing the physical, emotional, social, moral, and spiritual dimensions. Furthermore, the family education process demands a deep personal depth from educators, encompassing knowledge, attitudes, and pedagogical skills, to optimally support children in their growth and personality development.
